This task shows changes over time, but not in the same way as a line graph, which shows a continuous change over time. That is why we can report increases and decreases in tasks like this, but we cannot report the speed of changes, such as steadiness, sharpness, or gradualness.
If you look at the task, you can see the graphs comparing fuel sources (look at the wording of the task). And our report should do that: comparing fuel sources.
Again, if you zoom in on the task, you can see two types of fuels: Fossil fuels and renewable energies.
Fossil fuels include coal, oil, and natural gas; green energies cover hydropower and nuclear.
To write a good report on this, we can follow this organizational framework:
Body 1:
Focusing on fossil fuels, especially in Australia, where coal became most prevalent
We compare coal, old, and natural gas use in Australia and France in body 1.
Body 2:
Focusing on green energies, especially in France, where nuclear power became dominant.
We compare the use of nuclear energy and hydropower in France and Australia.
Overview:
We mention the drastic changes in the use of fuel sources, with Australia moving toward coal (a fossil fuel) and France toward nuclear energy (a renewable energy).
I hope this has been helpful.
